Frequently Asked Questions

Q. What do I need to have for my grooming appointment?
A. Dogs and Cats: Rabies & Distemper Shots need to be current and up-to date

We Highly recommend your dog has its bordetella (Kennel Cough) and is up to date on it. This is not a regular vaccination and typically need to be requested at your vet. See our Requirements

IMPORTANT NOTE *All shots must have been administered ten (10) days before their check-in date. Should this not be the case, we reserve the right to reschedule the appointment with a No Show Fee applied.

Q. Do I need to give my dog/cat a tranquilizer for grooming?
A. NO. We prefer your pet not be on anything so we can learn its temperament. We can give you a free evaluation prior to making an appointment. We will take as long as your pet needs to become comfortable. We utilize behavior modification techniques if necessary.

Q. How much will it cost for a grooming?
A. Price is determined on a number of factors such as coat condition and pet temperament to mention couple. It is best to bring your pet by for proper free quote. We start base prices according to weight of the pet. We always reserve the right to move to a higher weight classification due to factors of work involved and/or apply additional fees for unexpected situations or conditions.

Q. What if I don't have my shot records?
A. Contact your vet and they can provide you with a copy or fax the vaccinations over to our salon. Your pet must be current on their rabies and booster vaccines for any services we provide. If no proof can be obtained over the phone prior to your scheduled appointment, we will be forced to reschedule your appointment until it can be provided (fees may be incurred as a result). We are not obligated to send expiry notices and will not waive the associated fee should your vet not be open at the time of the appointment.

Q. Do you need a copy of the records?
A. Yes, we keep a copy on file for your pet should the need arise. We can make a copy here on location if needed. Vaccinations may be emailed, faxed, or delivered in person.

Q.  Do you groom cats?
A. Yes, cats will get their nails clipped, ears cleaned, and a bath. There are two types of grooms for cats - they can de-shedded or shaved like a lion (we leave the head, legs, and end of the tail with a tuft of fur). Cats are scheduled before 10 am and may take 3-5 hours to be done.

Q. How long will it take?
A. Typically, grooming lasts 3 hours. We will send a text when your pet is ready and there is no rush to pick up as long as it is before closing that day. There is a $1.00 late fee for every minute after closing and after one half hour late the pet will automatically be checked in for lodging with us and the owner will incur the additional fees.

Q. Do you take walk-ins?
A. Unfortunately, we do not take walk ins for grooming services. We do walk ins for services which include: nails, anal gland expression, teeth brushing, sanitary trims, ear cleaning/plucking, minor scissoring, etc.
